Resistance factions: Rearresting four Gilboa breakers does not undo what they have done

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Resistance factions emphasized that what the six Gilboa prisoners have achieved was great, adding that arresting four of them does not undo the catastrophic failure of the Israeli security system.

“Arresting four of the six prisoners, who freed themselves from the highly secured Gilboa prison, is only one round in the open and extended struggle with the occupation”, Hamas said in a press release today.

Hamas spokesperson, Fawzi Barhoum, added that “history will record that the six prisoners succeeded in breaking the reputation of the occupation and its security system.”

Meanwhile, the IJ leader Dawoud Shihab said that “arresting the heroes will not erase the defeat that the occupation army had and which broke the security system in a legendary operation.”

Mustafa Al Barghouthi, the secretary general of the Palestinian National Initiative (PNI), said that “rearresting the prisoners does not detract from the importance of their heroic achievement”.

“Six fighters fought and still fighting without weapons in a battle against the Israeli army and all security and high-tech systems”, he added.

“The will of freedom of the Palestinian people and prisoners will never be defeated.”

In the same vein, the head of the Commission of Prisoners and Former Prisoners, Qadri Abu Baker, held the occupation state responsible for the lives of the prisoners and called on the international community and human rights organizations to urgently provide protection for the prisoners.

Lua’i Al Khatib, leader of Abna’ Al Balad movement inside the 1948-occupied territories, said that he is proud of the Palestinian people and these six prisoners, as “an entire state used its army, police and agents to hunt six heroes, who don’t know the roads or the area.”

Hanin Al Zo’bi, a member of the People’s Democratic Movement, wrote on her Facebook account: “They dug a tunnel so that we fly. The start was powerful but the end will be formed by an entire people that will dig its tunnel to freedom.”
