Resistance Factions: No Proposal So Far Has Offered to Stop the Genocide

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Palestinian resistance factions said on Saturday that no proposal since the start of Israel’s genocide in Gaza has offered to stop the ongoing genocide.
In a joint statement, the factions said, “Since the first day of the aggression until now, no agreement has been offered that halts the genocide. Every proposal has allowed the killing machine to continue, while demanding our people surrender without any rights to defend themselves or their dignity.”
Despite this, resistance leaders said they engaged seriously with all initiatives. They noted that they accepted the January 19 agreement, which Israel later rejected while continuing its mass killings.
The factions affirmed that they have not shut the door on any effort that could stop the bloodshed. “We have worked hard for a proposal that ensures life and dignity for our people,” the statement added. This includes unconditional humanitarian aid, reconstruction of Gaza, and a full Israeli withdrawal to allow displaced families to return home.
“We prepared a document to end the famine, secure shelter, stop the genocide, and pave the way for a respected leadership that can manage people’s lives and ensure stability. This would guarantee real calm during the ceasefire and offer our people a breath of hope,” the statement said.
The resistance vowed to continue working toward any effort that protects the dignity, humanity, and future of the Palestinian people.
Earlier Saturday, Hamas confirmed it had officially responded to the latest ceasefire and prisoner exchange proposal from US envoy Steven Witkoff after national consultations.
Hamas agreed to release 10 living Israeli prisoners and return 18 bodies in exchange for a yet-to-be-agreed number of Palestinian detainees. It also insisted on a permanent ceasefire, full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, and unrestricted humanitarian aid as part of any deal.
A Hamas official told Reuters the group responded positively but asked for key amendments.
“We will never accept a deal that legitimizes our extermination,” the resistance factions said. “We will continue to fight for our people’s right to live with dignity, rebuild their homes, and end the occupation.”
For nearly 20 months, Israel has waged a US-backed genocide in Gaza, killing over 34,000 Palestinians. The United States continues to support Israel’s assault.
