Republican senators urged West Bank goods to be labeled ‘Made in Israel’
A group of four Senate Republicans sent a letter to US President Donald Trump on Monday, urging him to allow Israeli goods produced in the West Bank to be labeled ‘Made in Israel.’
“We write to urge you to change U.S. customs policy and guidelines to allow Israeli goods
produced in Judea and Samaria to be labeled “Made in Israel,” the letter stated.
The letter, signed by Sens. Tom Cotton, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, and Kelly Loeffler, asks Trump’s administration to reverse a Clinton-era customs policy that requires Israeli goods produced in the area to have “Made in West Bank” label.

“Your administration should continue its string of pro-Israel policy changes by undoing these
misguided Clinton-era guidelines, thereby allowing Israeli goods produced in Judea and Samaria to be labeled as ‘Made in Israel,'” the Republicans stated in the letter.
“Unfortunately, the United Nations and some prominent members of the Democratic Party are working to oppose Israel and to support the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, which seeks to isolate and damage Israel economically,” they added.
They also said that such decision would be “another achievement by Trump’s administration that would support Israel and would push back against anti-Semitism and the BDS movement.”
