Reports: Israel turns schools into extermination camps

Gaza (QNN)- The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said that Israel’s military has turned schools, sheltering displaced civilians in the Gaza Strip, into areas destined to commit heinous crimes.
In a report issued today, the human rights group documented an Israeli raid into Al Rifai school in Jabalia this morning. The soldiers detained all men after forcing them to undress in the cold. They were then taken to an unknown location, and women were forced to leave under the threat of weapons.
The report also confirmed that Israel broke into schools affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), through airstrikes and artillery bombardment, followed by invasions, arrests, and field executions.
Another crime documented in the report, was a massacre committed by the Israeli army at Shadia Abu Ghazala School in Jabalia, where nine Palestinians, including women and children, were executed.
The elderly, Youssef Khalil, testified to the crime, stating that the Israeli soldiers opened fire at the family members while they were in one of the classrooms. Then they detained him and others for days during which they were subjected to beatings and torture.
Khalil added that after he was released and the Israeli forces withdrew from the school, he found the bodies of his family’s killed members, including a woman, her husband, and children, decomposed as Israeli soldiers prevented medical teams or relatives from reaching them.
The report pointed out that Israel’s military detained males aged 14 and above and subjected them to torture. They also interrogated and arrested some of the ladies and stole personal belongings of the displaced individuals, including jewelery.
It added that the Israeli army turned schools and shelters into military sites and interrogation centers, then detonated some of them in a clear violation of international law.
