Red Crescent warns situation in Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Yunis extremely dangerous
Gaza (Quds News Network) – The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has expressed its deep concern over the precarious situation inside Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Yunis, souther Gaza, after enduring a relentless 28-day siege imposed by the Israeli army.
In an official statement, the PRCS disclosed that the water desalination plant within the hospital premises had been deliberately targeted by the Israeli occupation, resulting in severe damage. This has left the medical facility grappling with a critical shortage of safe drinking water, with current supplies projected to last only three more days.
The humanitarian organization underscored the gravity of the situation, emphasizing that the ongoing targeting of Al-Amal Hospital by Israeli forces has not only jeopardized the well-being of patients but has also caused significant financial strain on the hospital’s infrastructure.
The direct attacks on the hospital’s vicinity have not only damaged essential facilities but have also instilled a sense of panic and fear among patients and their companions. The relentless assaults have disrupted the hospital’s ability to provide adequate medical care, exacerbating an already challenging situation in the besieged region.
