Qualitative Resistance Operation Targets West Bank Israeli Military Tower, Injuring 8 Soldiers

Occupied West Bank (Quds News Network)- A Palestinian resistance fighter carried out a qualitative operation at an Israeli military post near the Tayasir military checkpoint, east of Jenin in the occupied West Bank. The attack injured eight Israeli soldiers, including two in critical condition.
According to Israeli Army Radio, the fighter infiltrated the military compound and opened fire, sparking an intense gunfight. The clash lasted several minutes before Israeli forces killed him. Reports indicate that he wore a bulletproof vest and had precise intelligence on the site, including troop movements and soldier positions.
An Israeli Air Force drone was present during the operation, but the military chose not to use it to avoid harming its own troops inside the compound.

Israeli media reported that the fighter managed to storm the military tower and fire from within. Israeli Channel 13 stated that he seized the top floor and engaged in a battle with Israeli soldiers before being killed. Additional forces arrived at the scene, closing the checkpoint and deploying large reinforcements. The Israeli army has since launched a military operation in the area.
Hamas praised the Tayasir military operation, stating it was a response to Israeli crimes in the northern West Bank. The group warned that Israel’s continued aggression in Jenin, Tulkarm, and Tubas would not go unanswered. Hamas also called for increased confrontations with Israeli forces and settlers across the West Bank.
Islamic Jihad described the operation as a heroic and strategic operation that reaffirms the Palestinian people’s commitment to resisting Israeli occupation.
Since January 21, Israeli forces have been waging a large-scale military campaign in Jenin and its refugee camp, later expanding to Tulkarm. The assault has resulted in the killing of around 30 Palestinian civilians so far.
