QNN awarded the 2019 Global Youth & News Media Prize

Paris (QNN)- Quds News Network (QNN) has won The Journalism Award category of the 2019 Global Youth & News Media Prize.

QNN was awarded the silver prize at the Global Youth & News Media Prize, organized by the French-based News-Decoder within News Xchange annual conference.

“Quds has accomplished amazing work under challenging circumstances”, the prize judges said. ” They have deservedly built a massive audience by empowering young people to tell the news.”

The Award partners are News-Decoder, the Google News Initiative and the European Journalism Centre.

The Global Youth & News Media Prize, founded in 2018, is a worldwide award that honours organizations that innovate as they strengthen engagement between news media and young people while reinforcing the role of journalism in society.

The prise judges stated that the Award “celebrates media and reporting work that serves, supports, attracts, and learns from young audiences”.

QNN was nominated among other projects, which break stereotypes or add important perceptions on youths and make a significant impact.
