'Israel' forces Jerusalem family to demolish their own house
Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- The Israeli municipality of occupied Jerusalem forced a Palestinian family in Jabal Mukabbir to demolish their own house under the pretext of having no building permit.
The house owner, Naser Za'atreh, said the Israeli municipality had notified him that they will demolish the house, in which he lives with his wife and four children.
Za'atreh found himself forced to demolish his house, as he would have to handle very expensive costs and penalties in case the Israelis demolish it, as he explained.
He stressed that he had to demolish the house, for which he paid over 80,000 Shekel (nearly $23,000) to build.
The occupation state prevents Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem from building new buildings or renewing old ones. Meanwhile, it has accelerated settlement construction in the occupied city and throughout occupied Palestine.
