"Israel" sends female Jordanian citizen to administrative detention

Occupied West Bank (QNN) - The Israeli occupation's military court sentenced the Jordanian citizen Heba al-Labadi to administrative detention, according to Palestinian Detainees Committee, today. "Israel" sentenced al-Labadi to five months of administrative detention at al-Damon detention center. Administrative detention is incarceration without trial or charge. It has no time limit, and the evidence on which it is based is not disclosed, according to B'Tselem. On August 20, Israeli forces arrested Heba al-Labadi, 24 years old, on King Hussein bridge while she was heading with her mother to the occupied West Bank to attend a wedding in occupied Nablus. Local sources said that Labadi was subjected to an arduous investigation at the Israeli intelligence detention centre of Petah Tikva. She was reportedly subjected to physical torture which included shabeh (shackling the detainee’s hands and legs to a small chair, angled to slant forward so that the detainee cannot sit in a stable position) and sleep deprivation. Despite having no charges and denying all accusations against her, the Israeli intelligence continues to detain her and prevent her family from visiting her. Abdul-Rahmam Mer’i (29 years old) is another Jordanian, who was also arrested under administrative detention with no charges. Mer’i was arrested while he was heading to occupied West Bank to attend a wedding as well. Israeli forces arrested Mer’i, who suffers from a brain tumor and has been under treatment since 2010, along with his mother.
