How to Take Down a US F‑35 Over Iran? Chinese Viral Tutorial Shows Tactics With Simple Equipment”

A Chinese viral video shows step-by-step how Iran could use simple air-defense systems to target a US F‑35. The tutorial, created by “Laohu Talks World” and subtitled in Persian, has drawn tens of millions of views.

Beijing (QNN)- A Chinese video explaining how Iran could target the F-35 Lightning II is going viral online. Created by the account “Laohu Talks World,” the video breaks down the problem step by step, showing how Iran could use existing equipment to strike advanced US fighters. Subtitled in Persian, it has drawn tens of millions of views.

The video argues that air combat is unrealistic for Iran given its aging fleet, including decades-old F-14 Tomcats. Instead, it focuses on ground-based air defenses. The speaker contrasts large systems like the S-300 and Bavar-373 with smaller, mobile setups such as the Majid system. He explains that lighter, decentralized units using infrared tracking could be harder to detect and survive longer under attack.

This online effort is part of a wider phenomenon emerging from China. Civilians with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) expertise are volunteering technical skills on social media to help Iran counter US and Israeli asssaults.

Such content has covered several areas, such as providing precise US military base coordinates in the region, proposing missile strategies against US aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf and simulating defence against a possible US landing on Iran’s Kharg Island.

China produces about five million STEM graduates annually, about 1.3 million of whom are engineers, outpacing the United States, which graduates about 130,000 engineers each year.

The video gained even more fame following reports about downing a US F-35 fighter over Iran. US officials cited by major outlets have acknowledged the incident, marking the first such loss in the current war.
