Hamas Political Chief Says No Talks Under Genocide and Hunger, Urges Global March to Besiege Israeli Embassies
Doha (Quds News Network)- Hamas’s top official, Dr. Khalil al-Hayya, said Sunday that negotiations with Israel are “meaningless” while Palestinians in Gaza continue to suffer from siege, genocide, and starvation. His statement marks a major turning point in the resistance movement’s stance on ceasefire talks. “We say it clearly: there is no meaning to continuing negotiations while our people, our children and women, are being starved and exterminated,” al-Hayya declared in a televised speech Sunday evening. He added that real progress must begin with immediate and dignified entry of food and medicine to Gaza. “This is the only true test of whether negotiations are serious,” he said. Al-Hayya revealed that Hamas showed flexibility in the latest round of indirect talks, particularly on Israeli withdrawal, prisoner exchange, and aid entry. He said mediators had brought positive Israeli responses. But then, Israel abruptly backed away from the process. He stated that Israel and the US envoy to the region, Steven Witkoff, are stalling to buy time for more destruction. “This is a cover for more genocide,” al-Hayya said, warning that Israel’s strategy includes turning Gaza into a starvation zone and forcibly displacing civilians from Rafah through Egypt or the sea.

Resistance, Failure of Israeli Army, and Global Appeal

Addressing fighters from Hamas’s Qassam Brigades and allied factions, al-Hayya praised their battlefield performance. He said their “David’s Stones” operations have crippled Israel’s “Gideon Chariots” offensive, forcing Israel’s army chief to beg for permission to withdraw. “His army failed. He now hides behind massacres and mass hunger,” al-Hayya said. He emphasized that Hamas had exhausted diplomatic channels for 22 months. “We responded to all mediators. We tried to save lives. But the enemy used negotiations as a weapon of delay and death,” he added.

Call to the Arab and Islamic World

Al-Hayya issued a direct appeal to Arab and Muslim nations, calling the ongoing silence “a stain of shame.” “Our people are being butchered on live television. Starved, displaced, and massacred. And our great nations, full of power and potential, remain paralyzed,” he said. He urged governments to cut all political, diplomatic, and economic ties with Israel immediately. He also issued a call to action for the public: “We call on the masses of our Arab and Islamic Ummah, especially in neighboring countries, to march toward Palestine by land and sea. Besiege Israeli embassies. Activate boycotts. Isolate the Zionist entity. Make their leaders and soldiers face justice.” Al-Hayya called on Islamic scholars to rise to their historic role and lead the people in resistance. He called on Jordanian and Egyptian citizens, specifically, to intensify street protests and civil pressure. “People in Jordan, your uprising gives us hope. People in Egypt, how can your brothers in Gaza starve to death at your border?”

Final Warning

Al-Hayya denounced airdrops of aid as “a farce,” saying every five airdrops equal just one small truck. “The real solution is to open the crossings and deliver aid in dignity,” he said. “International law demands it even during war.” He ended with a call that echoed across the region: “Gaza is not asking for words. Gaza is asking for action. Silence today is not weakness; it is complicity.”
