Occupied Jerusalem (Quds News Network)- An elderly Palestinian woman was shot and killed by Israeli forces during a military raid in the Shuafat refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem. According to reports, 66-year-old Zahia Judah al-Obaidi was sitting inside her home in the Shuafat refugee camp when Israeli forces opened heavy fire on residents. A bullet entered her house and struck her in the head last night. She succumbed to her injuries this morning. Israel's attacks in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem have intensified since the start of the genocide in Gaza. According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), between October 7, 2023, and June 12, 2025, 947 Palestinians — including at least 200 children — were killed by Israeli forces or settlers in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Of these, 141 Palestinians, among them at least 27 children, have been killed since the beginning of this year alone.
