The attempted land seizures took place in Deir Jarir, Al-Mughayyir, and Ein 'Arik in Ramallah Governorate, and in Shalal Al-Auja area near Jericho.
The Commission called the escalation part of an organized push to take over more Palestinian land under the protection of the Israeli military.
Settlers also launched violent attacks on Palestinian communities across the West Bank in less than 24 hours:
-
In the northern Jordan Valley, armed settlers chased shepherds and expelled them from grazing lands in Al-Burj.
-
In Al-Mughayyir, settlers began carving a new road across privately owned land. The road, about 500 meters from Palestinian homes, is expected to link illegal outposts to the Israeli "Ayalon" bypass road.
-
In Bruqin, near Salfit, settlers attacked homes and set fire to the house of Yafi Barakat. Israeli soldiers fired live bullets and tear gas at residents who tried to defend themselves.
Israeli forces also stormed the nearby villages of Yasuf and Iskaka. No arrests were reported.
In Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, settlers assaulted Palestinian shepherd Hani Abu 'Aram. They chased and beat him with stones near Wadi Rahil, leaving him bruised.
On Saturday, settlers burned 40 dunums of wheat fields in Sebastia, northwest of Nablus. The land belongs to farmers, who lost their entire crop.
The Palestinian Information Center (Ma’ta) said Israeli settlers have committed over 900 attacks in the West Bank since January 1, 2025.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission recorded 341 attacks in April alone.
The violence comes as Israel continues its US-backed genocide in Gaza, which has killed or injured over 176,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children. More than 11,000 remain missing and hundreds of thousands have been displaced.
At the same time, Israeli military and settler violence in the West Bank has killed at least 969 Palestinians, wounded 7,000, and led to over 17,000 kidnappings since October 7, 2023.
