US Kills One Civilian and Injures Three others in Saada, Yemen
Sana’a (Quds News Network)- US airstrikes targeted the outskirts of Saada, northern Yemen, killing one civilian and injuring three others. The attack came just hours after a massive demonstration in Sanaa, marking Al-Quds Day, where Yemen reaffirmed its solidarity with Palestine.
This escalation follows increased US military action aimed at pressuring Yemen to halt its support for Palestinians in Gaza. The Yemeni Armed Forces had resumed naval operations to block Israeli-linked ships from passing through the Red Sea. Meanwhile, the US launched aggressive strikes to protect Israel.
The strikes come at a time when Israel continues its brutal offensive on Gaza, now entering its second year. More than 160,000 Palestinians have been killed or wounded in the ongoing genocide. For the past 28 days, Israel has imposed a severe siege on Gaza, preventing humanitarian aid from reaching those in need, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
Israel is reportedly planning to further restrict the entry of aid into the war-torn Gaza Strip, despite the so-called ceasefire and amid an already severe humanitarian crisis after two years of genocide.
While presenting the Oscar for Best International Film, Javier Bardem began his remarks by saying, “not to war and free Palestine,” drawing a loud round of applause from the audience at the March 15 awards ceremony.
For the first time, the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque stood empty on Laylat al-Qadr, Islam’s holiest night of Ramadan, as Israeli forces kept the compound closed for the 16th consecutive day and turned Jerusalem’s Old City into a heavily militarized zone, forcing Muslim worshippers to pray in surrounding streets under tight restrictions.
