Israeli Forces Attack Indonesian Hospital in Gaza, Order Evacuation
Gaza (Quds News Network)- Israeli forces attacked the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, on Friday. They ordered all patients, medical staff, and others inside to evacuate immediately.
Eyewitnesses reported heavy gunfire around the hospital. Most of those trapped inside were women, children, and injured patients, along with healthcare workers.
Medical sources revealed that Israeli forces destroyed the hospital's oxygen and electricity systems. The facility can no longer provide medical services. Supplies have run out, endangering the lives of patients. Many of the injured had been transferred there after Israeli forces burned and destroyed the nearby Kamal Adwan Hospital. Israeli forces had ordered patients and medical worker, who were not detained, to walk to the Indonesian Hospital.
Israeli forces continued bulldozing the area around the hospital, destroying infrastructure and further isolating the region.
Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes targeted a group near Al-Shifa Hospital’s gate, killing at least five people and seriously wounding others. Another airstrike hit Al-Lababidi Street in western Gaza, killing four Palestinians and injuring several more.
Last Friday, Israeli forces burned Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, one of the largest medical facilities in the area. The hospital served over 400,000 residents. Soldiers forced patients, medical staff, and journalists to evacuate under heavy gunfire and shelling. They also kidnapped the hospital’s director, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya.
Since October 5, Israeli forces have intensified their assault on northern Gaza. They have bombed hospitals, blocked food, water, and medical supplies, and targeted civilians.
The ongoing Israeli offensive in Gaza has caused widespread destruction. The latest figures from Gaza's Ministry of Health report 45,581 deaths, 108,438 injuries, and over 11,000 missing persons.
Hamas condemned the attack on the Indonesian Hospital as “an extension of Israel’s genocide and forced displacement plans against Palestinians.” The group called on the international community, the World Health Organization, and the Red Cross to act immediately.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains dire as Israel’s actions continue under US support, with global inaction enabling further atrocities.
