Israeli Forces Kidnap Four Children, Demolish Two Homes in Jerusalem
Occupied Jerusalem (Quds News Network)- Israeli forces kidnapped four children and demolished two homes in Jerusalem on Sunday. The incidents occurred in the towns of Issawiya, northeast of Jerusalem, and Beit Safafa, southeast of the city.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center reported the arrests in Issawiya but did not provide further details.
In Beit Safafa, Israeli authorities demolished two homes belonging to the Salah family. The demolitions displaced 15 people, according to the center.
The houses, built in the 1970s, were torn down to make way for a settlers road project. A 40-year legal battle between the family and Jerusalem’s Israeli municipality ended with the court's final ruling to demolish the homes.
The center revealed that Israeli authorities are attempting to clear Palestinians from the area for their urban development projects.
Since October 7, 2023, when Israel escalated its actions in Gaza, authorities have intensified measures in occupied Jerusalem. According to the Jerusalem Governorate, Israeli forces have arrested 2,032 people in the city and carried out 423 demolitions during this period.
Israel’s approval of 764 new West Bank settlement units marks another major expansion under Netanyahu, tightening control over Palestinian land and eroding hopes for a political agreement.
Logan said he doesn't think "Israel should be allowed to hide under the umbrella of the Eurovision," adding that he was "proud" of the broadcaster making the "right decision."
