Saudi Arabia slams Israeli raid on Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque
Riyadh (QNN)- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemned on Wednesday the “blatant storming carried out by Israeli settlers” into Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem during the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's “condemnation and rejection of the blatant storming carried out by Israeli settlers into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, amid the protection of the Israeli occupation forces,” stressing that these practices “undermine peace efforts and violate international principles and norms regarding respect for religious sanctities.”
The Ministry also reiterated the Kingdom's firm stance in supporting all efforts aimed at “ending the occupation and reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause, that enables the Palestinian people to establish their independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Al-Ouds (East Jerusalem) as its capital.”
An Israeli group, whose founder supported US President Donald Trump’s plan to forcibly displace Palestinians from Gaza and was founded by soldiers and former intelligence officers, was behind last year’s flights that facilitated the travel of hundreds of Palestinians from the war-torn Strip and landed in South Africa and Indonesia, an AP investigation has found.
Israel is reportedly planning to further restrict the entry of aid into the war-torn Gaza Strip, despite the so-called ceasefire and amid an already severe humanitarian crisis after two years of genocide.
While presenting the Oscar for Best International Film, Javier Bardem began his remarks by saying, “not to war and free Palestine,” drawing a loud round of applause from the audience at the March 15 awards ceremony.
