Israeli forces shoot dead Palestinian ex-prisoner in Ramallah
Ramallah (QN)- Israeli occupation forces shot dead on Tuesday a Palestinian youth and ex-prisoner in Israeli prisons during confrontations in the Nabi Saleh village, north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian youth, identified as 20-year-old Nihad Barghouti from Kafr Ein village, was reportedly in a critical condition as he was shot in the abdomen by Israeli occupation soldiers during confrontations in the village of Nabi Saleh.
He was taken to a hospital in Ramallah to get urgent medical treatment. However, he later succumbed to his injuries.
His brother Ehab said he “was assassinated in cold blood and in broad daylight.”
An eyewitness told Quds News Network (QNN) that around five occupation soldiers came to the village from a nearby military post.
They were met by young protesters at the entrance of the village but there was no stone-throwing or other violence when Bargouthi and other villagers came to see what was happening.
"He was watching like everyone else, but because he was close to them, two shots were fired and one of them hit him," the eyewitness told QNN.
