Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- An Israeli court on Monday decided to demolish Sour Baher sports club in the southeast of occupied Jerusalem under the pretext of being built without a permit.
The head of the club, Ashraf Amireh, said: "Israeli authorities gave us a demolition order for the fourth time in less than a year."
"The Israeli municipality of Jerusalem failed on several occasions to confiscate the club and the land plot on which it is built", he added.
"Two years ago, we registered the club and the 8-dunum-size land plot along with the headquarter as an Islamic endowment and closed the door to the Israeli settlement projects. We also reformed the building and the football playground", Amireh added.
Amireh added that the Israeli violations aim at ending sports activities in occupied Jerusalem, as they play a key role in unifying Palestinians, stressing that such organizations are an important "heritage that we will never give up on."
