Israeli man arrested in Dubai for drug trafficking
Abu Dhabi (QNN)- An Israeli man was arrested in Dubai after selling large amounts of heroin, reported Israeli media.
The Israeli man is set to have his first hearing on Sunday. He will be represented by Israeli attorneys.
This is the first incident of its kind since the normalization deal between the occupation state and the UAE was signed, although of several reports that discussed the increasing rate of drug trafficking in the UAE.
Last January, Israeli media reported that dozens of Israelis who have travelled to Dubai to celebrate the New Year smuggled hashish and marijuana into the gulf country.
France has rejected a visa to prominent human rights advocate and Director-General of Al-Haq, Shahwan Jabarin, who was scheduled to address the European Parliament’s human rights committee in Strasbourg, a move that “undermining efforts towards accountability and advocacy for Palestinian rights.”
