Ten Birzeit students released after 30 days in Israeli jail
Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Israeli authorities on Saturday released ten Birzeit students, who were arrested 30 days ago over a visit to the family of Muntaser Shalabi, a detainee whose house was demolished by the Israeli army.
The released students were among 45 others, who were on a visit to the demolished house of the family of Muntaser Shalabi in Turmus Ayya. Israeli forces arrested all 45 students after holding their bus.
In a statement by the Israeli army, the Israelis accused the students of being 'terrorists' for being part of a students bloc.
Qassam Barghouti says Israeli forces broke his father Marwan’s teeth and ribs, cut his ear, and crushed his fingers “for fun.” His family fears a dangerous plan to kill the jailed Palestinian leader.
Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails are facing harsh detention conditions, including severe hunger, massive overcrowding, and poor sanitary conditions.
