Israeli police shoot dead mentally disabled man in occupied Haifa
Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Israeli police on Monday shot dead a mentally disabled young man in the 1948-occupied city of Haifa.
Israeli media reported that the police were informed of an angry man in one of Haifa's streets. The police immediately arrived at the location of the young man.
Israeli media claimed that the police tried to arrest the 33-year-old but he attacked them, so they shot him dead.
The family of the Palestinian young man stated that he is mentally disabled.
In May last year, the Israeli police shot dead an autistic young man, who was on his way to school, in occupied Jerusalem.
Nearly half of the journalists killed in 2025 died in Israeli attacks on Gaza, RSF says, warning of a global spike in targeted violence against the press.
The Office said about 386 civilians have been killed and 980 others injured in the violations, with children, women and the elderly accounting for the majority of the victims.
