Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Nearly 10,000 worshipers performed Friday prayer at Al Aqsa mosque today despite the Israeli restrictions and the freezing cold in the holy city and in Palestine in general.
The Directorate of Islamic Waqf said that thousands of worshipers have flocked to the holy mosque since the very early morning hours of Friday, following health measures to confront the COVID-19 virus.
"The [mosque's] guards, caretakers, and volunteers spread in the courtyards and at the gates of the mosque to distribute hand Sanitizers and supervise social distancing", it added.
