Over 50 Palestinians arrested in Israeli wide-scale West Bank campaign
Occupied West Bank (QNN)- The Israeli army has launched a wide-scale arrest campaign throughout the West Bank this morning, targeting over 50 Palestinians including members of the Legislative Council and former prisoners.
The Israeli army raided several villages and cities of the West Bank in the early morning of Tuesday, breaking into dozens of houses and committing vandalism.
The Prisoners' Information Center said the Israeli army arrested Hamas leader Abdel Khaleq Al Natsheh after breaking into his house in Hebron.
The Israeli army also arrested the member of the Legislative Council Nayef Al Rjoub and his brother, who is a former prisoner, Yaser. Other former prisoners were also arrested, including Sheikh Muhammad Ismail Abu Arqoub, Nafeth Shawamreh, Issa Rjoub, Ayyub Awawdeh, Laith Awawdeh, Raed Hamdan, Adam Abu Sharar, Issa Awawdeh, Thaer Abu Sondos, Ahmad Abu Sondos, and Sami Abu Arqoub.
Abdel Baset Hroub, father of Muhammad Hroub who is serving four life prison terms in Israeli jails, has been arrested. Also, the mother of Haitham Al Battat, who is serving three life prison terms, has been arrested.
Usama Shaheen, the head of Palestine Center for Prisoners' Studies, as well as former prisoners Dia' Masalmeh, Mahmoud Issa Masalmeh, Muhammad Abdel Hamid Masalmeh, Thaer Naim Masalmeh, and Sharhabil Masalmeh have been arrested as well.
The Israeli army arrested Muath Abu Ijhesheh and former prisoner, who has been released only three months ago, Marwan Abu Farah.
In Yatta, Fadl Jabbarin, Atef Rabba', Huthaifaha and Qutaiba Makhamreh, and Ibrahim Hathalin have been included in the arrest campaign.
The Israelis arrested Munir Manasrah, Thaer Awad, Sheikh Khader Abu Hashem, Mu'ayyad Tit, and Maher Sabarneh from northern Hebron.
In Sa'er, Sheikh Izzat Shalaldeh, Abdel Fattah Abu Sal, Yousuf Abu Afifeh, and Wajih Mashni have been arrested.
In Bethlehem, several former prisoners were arrested, including Yaser and Muhammad Atallah, Raed Hamdan, Ibrahim Jobran, and Ahmad Qasem Sheikh.
In Ramallah, Israeli soldiers arrested Izz Khalaf Ta'mari and Mahmoud Ali Qindah.
In Issawiyyeh, the Israeli police arrested Ahmad Issam Darwish.
