'Israel' prevents jailed journalist from meeting his lawyers
Jenin (QNN)- Israeli authorities continue to hold the journalist Yazan Abu Salah from the village of Arrabeh in Jenin and denied him lawyers' visits.
The family of Abu Salah told QNN that "the occupation is holding Yazan at Al Jalameh interrogation center and prevented his lawyer from visiting him."
"We do not know so far anything about the conditions of his interrogation," they added.
Israeli forces arrested Yazan on January 22nd, 2020 at Za'tara military checkpoint.
His father said "his lawyer only saw him from a distance during his hearing last Thursday. Only then we knew that he was fine".
In another context, the Israeli military court has extended on Sunday the detention of the journalist Muhammad Melhem for further 72 hours.
The occupation state detains several journalists in its jails. The assaults and violations against journalism have been increased during the last few months.
He claimed that the US “maintained the Gaza ceasefire, delivered record levels of humanitarian aid” and that “you don’t hear” about Palestinians in Gaza starving anymore.
