In Video| Extremist settlers storm Al Aqsa mosque, Israeli police summons guard for interrogation
Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Groups of Israeli extremist settlers stormed the courtyards of Al Aqsa mosque, while the Israeli police summoned a guard of the holy mosque for interrogation on Sunday.
The Directorate of Islamic Waqf told QNN that dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the holy mosque and performed rituals in the eastern area.
The Israeli police and special forces escorted the extremist settlers in their provocative tours.
Israeli policemen also stormed the Mercy prayer room and stepped into it without removing their shoes although of efforts by Al Aqsa guards to prevent them.
The Directorate added that the Israeli police summoned the guard Hamzeh Nemer for interrogation by the Shin Bet after he tried to prevent the policemen from stepping into the Mercy prayer room without removing their shoes.
