Pro-Palestine activists protest in London against Israel’s latest bombardment of Gaza

London (QNN)- Hundreds of pro-Palestine protesters gathered on Wednesday night outside 10 Downing Street in London demanding an end to Israel’s illegal occupation and apartheid policies against Palestinians and protesting Israel’s latest bombardment of Gaza.

The rally was jointly organised by Friends of Al-Aqsa (FOA) , PFB, MAB, PSC and CND.

This past weekend, Israeli occupation launched a 3-day deadly aggression on Gaza, killing 47 Palestinians, including 15 children, and injuring over 360 civilians, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

In a press release, the UK-based FOA noted that this “recent onslaught came just one year after Israel’s brutal bombardment of the besieged Gaza Strip, in which 256 Palestinians were murdered, including 66 children. Amnesty International has since called for an investigation into Israel for potential war crimes.”

“Consistent campaigning on Gaza and Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestine is desperately needed,” Ismail Patel, Chair at FOA, said.

Patel added, “As individuals and as the British public, we must do all within our power to raise awareness of Israel’s inhumane siege of Gaza and illegal occupation of Palestine.”

“This includes engaging with the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement, and taking all the steps we can to protect BDS in the UK as a peaceful, powerful way to pressure Israel to comply with international law.”
