Prisoners publish list of wanted jailers accused of torture
Occupied Palestine (QNN)- The Supreme Leading Commission of Hamas prisoners in Israeli jails on Monday published a list including names and pictures of Palestinian jailers, who serve in Israeli jails, and who are involved in torture practices against political prisoners.
The list includes the manager of Gilboa and Shatta prisons, security officers of Gilboa and Shatta prisons, and officer Zaher Fares, who was involved in direct torture practices against political prisoners.
The commission said this is the first step among a series of escalating procedures in response to the Israeli repression and humiliation.
It added that the identities of jailers in Israeli prisons are known by the prisoners, which makes them easy targets for Palestinians.
“The Israeli Prison Service is trying to make our hero prisoners be responsible for the failure of the Israelis and take retaliatory measures.”
It added that the IPS has transferred prisoners to Shatta Prison, where they were subjected to severe torture. This has been revealed only recently due to the media blackout clamped by the Israeli authorities on the condition inside Israeli prisons following the Gilboa prison break, according to the commission.
The commission also held the occupation state completely responsible for the lives of Palestinian prisoners.
