Prisoners announce general alarm to confront Israeli repression

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- The Committee of Prisoners and Former Prisoners said today that prisoners inside Israeli jails announced general alarm and insurgency against Israeli laws, in response to the Israeli repression and punitive measures, which have been imposed for the third day in a row following the successful Gilboa prison break.

The committee said in a statement that “following brief discussions between leaders of prisoners inside Israeli jails, they agreed to confront Israeli private repression units and prison police by all means and not to subordinate to the malicious racist practices, which are based on the military and security failure for the occupation, especially in Gilboa.”

The statement added that “the Israeli government and its services are trying to cover up their failure, fighting the sheer willpower of Palestinian prisoners, through a vicious attack on prisoners and the Palestinian people. As most arrests and raids last night targeted families of the six prisoners, who freed themselves from Gilboa.”

The committee called on the international community to “immediately act in order to stop the Israeli insanity against our prisoners, as the ongoing attack would worsen the situation… and the occupation will pay a real price for that.”

Israeli Prison Service (IPS) has carried out a brutal attack on prisoners throughout the last couple of days in revenge for its failure to stop Gilboa prison break.
