Israeli Strikes Rock Gaza, Killing Civilians in Fresh Breach of Trump Ceasefire

Five Israeli strikes hit a residential building in Gaza City, killing and wounding dozens in another violation of the ceasefire announced by US President Donald Trump.

Gaza (QNN)- Israeli forces carried out a series of deadly airstrikes on Gaza City on Friday, in a new Israeli violation of the fragile ceasefire announced earlier by US President Donald Trump.

Gaza’s ambulance and emergency services said two Palestinians were killed and several others wounded after an Israeli strike targeted a vehicle in the Yarmouk area of Gaza City.

Another Israeli airstrike hit a residential apartment in the city, killing at least three Palestinians and injuring nearly 30 others.

Five consecutive explosions shook the entire area after Israeli warplanes launched direct strikes on the targeted building. Witnesses reported massive clouds of smoke and debris rising above western Gaza City.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz rushed to claim that the attack targeted Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades commander Izz al-Din al-Haddad, whom Israel’s Channel 12 described as Hamas’ “chief of staff” in Gaza.

The strike directly hit the Al-Moataz residential building west of Gaza City with five missiles. One apartment suffered complete destruction, while nearby homes and buildings sustained heavy damage. Palestinian resistance groups have not issued any official confirmation regarding the Israeli claims about the targeted commander.

Civil defense and ambulance crews rushed to the scene shortly after the bombing began. Rescue teams continued searching through the rubble for survivors and people trapped under collapsed concrete, while panic spread among civilians in the densely populated neighborhood.

The latest attacks add to a long series of Israeli ceasefire violations that never stopped despite the cesefire announcement. Since October 11, 2025, Israeli forces have continued daily airstrikes, artillery shelling, shootings by military vehicles, and demolitions of homes and civilian facilities.

The reported violations also include attacks on residential areas, displacement tents, and shelter centers across the Gaza Strip.

The death toll from Israel’s genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has risen to more than 72,744 Palestinians, while at least 172,588 others have suffered injuries.
