Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Shoshana Strock, the daughter of Israeli settlement minister Orit Strock, has been found dead after publicly exposing members of her family and prominent religious figures for years of sexual abuse. Reports emerged weeks after she shared disturbing testimony describing abuse that began when she was just two and a half years old. In her own words, she described “sadistic rituals” meant to erase her identity and warned that powerful figures were involved, writing: “The abusers are… MKs, rabbis, people with power… If they tell you I committed suicide — don’t believe it.” Her accusations also named prominent rabbi Zvi Thau and described a system of exploitation and coercive “conversion therapy” inside influential religious circles in Israel.

Strock had recently posted a detailed account on social media describing systematic sexual exploitation and coercive “conversion therapy” rituals during her childhood. In the post, she said that her father, Avraham Strock, and prominent Israeli rabbi Zvi Thau force her into abusive practices designed to suppress her sexual identity.

The case has drawn widespread attention in Israel because of the political and religious figures mentioned in the allegations. Thau is considered a leading figure within Israel's nationalist religious movement and serves as the spiritual leader of the Noam Party, represented in the Knesset by lawmaker Avi Maoz.

In a Facebook post dated January 12, Strock described traumatic experiences she said occurred during her childhood. She said that her father and Rabbi Thau repeatedly forced her to participate in abusive rituals that sought to convince her that she is not lesbian.

"Rituals in which gay men and children were asked to put their hands on my chest and in this way... force me to understand that I am attracted to men, and force them to understand that they are attracted to women."

She wrote that the rituals involved humiliation, threats, and psychological pressure. According to her account, adults forced her to participate in practices that attempted to “reprogram” sexual orientation.

Strock also said that her family pimped her out for profit during her teenage years. She said the abuse continued for years and left lasting psychological trauma.

Her testimony also referred to flashbacks and severe anxiety connected to those experiences. She said she feared retaliation if she spoke publicly about the abuse.

In earlier statements shared in 2025, Strock said she had filed a formal complaint in Italy and sought justice for abuse carried out by members of her own family. In that statement, she said both of her parents and one of her brothers had raped her.

She also said that the abuse affected other members of her family. According to her testimony, younger siblings experienced physical violence during their childhood.

In recent weeks, Strock said she continued to fear for her safety. She said thst her father and his friends raped her again recently.

The death of Shoshana Strock has also renewed scrutiny of the political family she came from. Her mother, Orit Strock, serves as a senior figure in Israel’s pro-settlement political camp and has strongly supported Israeli government policies during the Gaza genocide.

The family had previously drawn public attention in 2007 when one of Strock’s brothers, Zviki Strock, faced conviction for kidnapping and assaulting a Palestinian teenager. The attack left the victim severely injured after he was beaten, stripped, and tied up in a field before managing to escape.
