UK Medical Tribunal Dismisses Complaint by Israeli Group Against Palestinian British Doctor Ghassan Abu Sitta

The UK medical tribunal rejected all accusations against Palestinian British doctor Ghassan Abu Sitta after a pro-Israel legal group accused him of terrorism, violence, and antisemitism over his Gaza genocide testimonies.

London (QNN)- The UK General Medical Council (GMC) Tribunal has dismissed a complaint filed by a zionist group against Palestinian British doctor Ghassan Abu Sitta.

The complaint came from the pro-Israel group UK Lawyers for Israel.

It accused Abu Sitta of supporting terrorism, supporting violence, and antisemitism. The tribunal rejected all accusations.

In an interview with Quds News Network, Dr. Abu Sitta said the case relied on his medical testimonies from Gaza and statements by others.

He provided these testimonies while working as a doctor during Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

Abu Sitta said the zionist group filed ten complaints against him across several institutions.

These included four attempts to pressure the University of Glasgow to withdraw his nomination as university rector.

Other complaints targeted the Scottish government’s education department, the UK Charity Commission, and the GMC twice.

Abu Sitta said the group's goal was not to win cases. He said the goal was financial and psychological exhaustion.

He described it as an effort to silence critics of Israel and create a climate of fear. He said the case lasted six months, adding that his legal team had to launch a fundraising campaign to cover legal costs.

The pro-Israeli group published articles from the first day of the hearing.

Abu Sitta said they falsely claimed victory and alleged the GMC accused him of terrorism and antisemitism.

"Such campaigns aim to justify the killing of more than 1,700 Palestinian medical workers in Gaza", Abu Sitta stated.

“We defend the right to speak,” Abu Sitta added, urging people not to stay silent about Gaza.

“This battle depends on people continuing to speak,” he added.

Ghassan Abu Sitta is a Palestinian British surgeon and associate professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery.

He is the first Arab doctor to develop a specialized academic curriculum on conflict and war medicine.

He has volunteered as a surgeon in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Gaza.

He survived the Israeli attack on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza.

Abu Sitta has given several medical testimonies from Gaza.

His latest testimony, aired on Al Jazeera, documented evidence of Israeli organ theft from Palestinian victims.
