UNRWA: 12,000 Employees Continue Serving in Gaza Amid Israeli Attack
Gaza City (QNN)- More than 12,000 UNRWA employees, including doctors, teachers, and other staff, continue to work in Gaza despite enduring the horrors of Israel’s brutal attacks. UNRWA staff, like ordinary Gazans, have been forcibly displaced multiple times. Many lost relatives, witnessed children injured, and face extreme hunger. They live in shelters, including tents, damaged schools, and destroyed homes. Philippe Lazzarini, UNRWA Commissioner-General, told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that staff experience daily hardships alongside civilians. Yet, he emphasized, they remain fully committed to serving the Palestinian community. The government media office reports that more than 900,000 people still remain in the city. Israeli forces continue heavy air and artillery strikes, moving deeper into densely populated areas. The bombardment has received full support from former US President Donald Trump, which means that the US administration is complicit in the war crimes that Israel is committing in the city.
