Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Israeli media reported that an Israeli jailer was found stabbed to death in a burnt apartment in the settlement of Gibeon, an illegal settlement built on lands stolen from Ramallah.
They added that the details of the stabbing incident are unclear, however, the suspicion that the background was a "nationalist murder" was investigated, as he worked as a jailer in the notorious jail of Ofer.
A "nationalist murder" is a term used by Israeli authorities to describe resistance acts.
'Walla' website reported that the Shin Bet is participating in the investigation of the killing of the jailer. The Hebrew Channel 7 also stated that there are fears that resistance fighters killed him due to his work in Israeli prisons.
Several human rights organizations and international bodies have documented severe forms of torture that Israel's prison service authorities have been practicing against Palestinian abductees.
Although the systematic policy of torture has been used by Israel for many years, these practices have increased since October 7th. Since then, Israel has launched a relentless campaign on Palestinians across occupied Palestine, kidnapping about 11,000 citizens and subjecting them to different forms of torture.
According to Israeli newspaper Haaretz on Thursday, the army said the death toll of around 71,000 killed in Gaza is largely correct, adding that it did not include those missing and buried under the rubble.
