Occupied Palestine (QNN)- For over 27 years, the occupation state has been denying 26 Palestinians their right to spend the holy month of Ramadan with their families. The Committee of Prisoners and Former Prisoners said the longest-serving of the 26 prisoners are Kareem Younes and Maher Younes, who spent 38 years in Israeli jails and were denied their right to spend the holy month with their families all along those years. The committee explained that the prisoners are Kareem Younes, Maher Younes, Nael Barghouthi, Muhammad Tous, Ibrahim Abu Mokh, Roshdi Abu Mokh, Waleed Daqqa, Ibrahim Bayadseh, Ahmad Abu Jaber, Sameer Abu Ni'meh, Muhammad Daud, Basheer Khateeb, Jom'a Adam, Muhammad Falneh, Mahmoud Abu Kharabeesh, Raed Sa'di, Ibrahim Ighbariyyeh, Muhammad Ighbariyyeh, Yaha Ighbariyyeh, Dia Falouji, Naser Abu Srour, Mahmoud Abu Srour, Mahmoud Issa, Nael Salhab, Muhammad Shamasneh, Abdel Jawad Shamasneh, and Alaa Karaki. Some of the prisoners have an Israeli nationality and were sentenced to death over their political activity before the abolition of the death penalty in the occupation state. Furthermore, the occupation state has imposed punitive measures against the prisoners, including denying them family and lawyers visitations for lengthy periods, worsening their suffering.
