Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces have raided the house and workplace of the Palestinian freedom fighter, Fadi Abu Shukhedem, who was shot dead on Sunday by the forces over alleged shooting attempt.

Local sources said following the incident that took place earlier today, the occupation forces raided the house of Sheikh Shukhedem which is located in the Shuafat neighborhood in the occupied city of Jerusalem, searched and turned it upside-down before interrogating members of the house.

Sources said Israel’s internal intelligence agency, Shin Bet, has summoned members of the family of Sheikh Shukhedem, including his brother, for interrogation.

The forces also raided the school where Sheikh Shukhedem was working and arrested a Palestinian youth after searching him.

Local sources said the forces prevented the journalist from documenting their raids and attacks against the Palestinians.

The forces have also fired tear gas canisters directly towards Palestinians in the place.

Earlier today, Israeli forces shot dead Sheikh Shukhedem, who is a father of 5, for allegedly carrying out a shooting attempt against Israeli forces in the old city in Jerusalem.

The incident took place around 9 a.m. near the Bab al-Silsila, one of the gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

Israeli media claimed that three Israeli policemen were wounded, and an Israeli settler died of his injuries.

The incident comes during a surge of Israeli assaults against Palestinians, especially in occupied Jerusalem.
