Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Nearly 70000 worshipers performed prayers at Al Aqsa mosque on the first Friday of the holy month of Ramadan despite the Israeli restrictions.
Al Aqsa mosque preacher Sheikh Ekrima Sabri condemned the Israeli restrictions and stressed that the large number of worshipers at Al Aqsa mosque today is a message that those, who aim at judaizing the holy mosque will fail.
He added that Al Aqsa mosque is only for worshipers and condemned the Israeli authorities’ violation when they cut off the loudspeakers to prevent calls for prayers on the first night of Ramadan.
Sabri also called on all Muslims around the world to stand against the Israeli assaults in the holy city.
Masses of worshipers had flocked from the West Bank and Jerusalem this morning toward Al Aqsa mosque to perform Friday prayers, however, the Israeli forces imposed strict restrictions, preventing most of them from reaching the holy mosque.
