Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Jerusalem’s Islamic Waqf stated that 250,000 Muslim worshipers, mainly Palestinians, marked Laylat al-Qadr, the 27th night of the holy month of Ramadan, at Al-Aqsa mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

As Ramadan continues, 250,000 people congregated at the mosque, one of Islam’s holiest sites, on Wednesday evening, close to the golden-topped Dome of the Rock, to mark the 27th night of Ramadan, a special night for many Muslims who believe the Prophet Muhammad ascended to heaven from the site.

The night is said to fall on one of the odd nights of the last 10 days of Ramadan, with the exact night unknown. However, it is commonly believed to be the 27th.
