Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Over 100,000 Palestinian worshipers performed today the last Friday prayer of the holy month of Ramadan at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa mosque.

As Ramadan continues, Jerusalem’s Islamic Waqf said that over 160,000 Muslim worshipers, mainly Palestinians, performed the last Friday prayer at the Al-Aqsa mosque despite the Israeli occupation restrictions and violations against the worshipers.

The Waqf noted Palestinians from occupied Jerusalem, the West Bank and 1948-occupied territories succeeded in visiting Al-Aqsa mosque and performing Ramadan’s last Friday.

After the prayer, the worshipers gathered at the courtyards of the mosque and chanted slogans pledging to protect Al-Aqsa mosque and the holy city from the Israeli violations.

Earlier today, Israeli occupation forces raided the mosque following the Fajr prayer and attacked worshipers, leaving dozens of them injured. The Palestinian Red Crescent said that 42 Palestinians were injured during the Israeli attacks on worshipers at al-Aqsa Mosque, today.

Moreover, local sources reported the Israeli forces assaulted Palestinian youths at Qalandia checkpoint and obstructed their way to occupied Jerusalem to perform the Friday prayer at the Al-Aqsa.
