“People Are Burning”: 12 Palestinians Killed in Israeli Strike on Gaza School Shelter
Gaza (Quds News Network)- At least 12 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli attack on Gaza City’s Musa bin Nusair School, where hundreds of displaced families were sheltering.
Footage of the aftermath of the attack circulated on social media shows the school completely engulfed in flames, with victims’ cries heard in the background.
“People are burning,” says a journalist documenting the scene.
Children were among those killed.
This is just the latest in Israel’s assaults on schools-turned-shelters in the Gaza Strip. Aid agencies say Israeli forces have destroyed or damaged some 95 percent of the territory’s schools since the start of the assault in October 2023.
Israel’s repeated attacks on civilian infrastructure, including schools, appear to be violations of international law and amount to war crimes, according to the United Nations.
