EXCLUSIVE | Israel to EU: Paying but not Playing

Gaza (Quds News) – According to exclusive sources, members of EU states expressed their annoyance over their role in the ongoing Israeli offensive on Gaza.

The countries pointed out that their role has been limited to providing economic support to Israel, while the latter’s government believes that the European Union could address Gaza’s economic issues following the aggression.

Several EU governments were annoyed by Israel’s position, which has been articulated by an Israeli official to a Scandinavian ambassador within the European Union. The Israeli official has described the EU’s role as “pay but don’t play” regarding Gaza’s future following the aggression.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister of another European country stated that the EU has become responsible for only repairing the devastation and destruction caused by Israel.

In addition to the extremely high human cost of the Israeli offensive into Gaza, which exceeded 20,000 victims, Israel’s military has destroyed over 56,000 residential buildings. It also completely damaged the healthcare system, infrastructure, and water desalination plants in the besieged strip.
