“Palestinians Need a Nakba Every Now and Then to Feel the Price”: Former Israeli Intel Chief Advocates Genocide in Gaza
Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- A leaked audio reveals former Israeli intelligence chief Aharon Haliva calling for mass killings in Gaza. In comments made shortly after the October 7 military operation, Haliva said that for every Israeli killed, fifty Palestinians should be murdered. He added that this policy would apply regardless of age or gender. Haliva framed the killings not as revenge but as a “warning to future generations”. “The existence of fifty thousand dead in Gaza is something I see as necessary for future generations,” he said. “They need a Nakba every now and then to feel the price.” His remarks came in a private setting but were made public on Friday evening. The tone shocked many, highlighting a worldview that sees large-scale civilian deaths as a strategic message. Since the start of Israel’s genocide in Gaza, more than 62,000 Palestinians have been killed, most of them women and children. The territory remains under a strict siege. Starvation and deprivation have claimed over 200 more lives, mainly children.

The International Court of Justice had demanded Israel halt acts of genocide. Meanwhile, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant over war crimes.
