Palestinians in Bedouin village of Al-Atrash protest against Israel’s bulldozing of lands
Negev desert (QNN)- Dozens of Palestinians held a vigil on Tuesday morning in the unrecognized village of Al-Atrash in the Negev desert, south of the 1948-occupied Palestine, in protest against Israel’s bulldozing of their lands.
Since the early morning hours of Tuesday, dozens of Palestinians have been protesting in the village of Al-Atrash against Israel’s repeated bulldozing and demolishing of their lands.

However, the Israeli occupation forces attacked a tent which was set up by the Palestinian residents to protest against the bulldozing and demolition works, today.

The forces also continued their bulldozing of the village’s lands and attacked residents who tried to prevent them from doing so.

Yesterday, the Israeli forces bulldozed large tracts of a Palestinian land in the unrecognized village of Al-Atrash and also demolished a tent used by the Atrash family in al-Ruwais village as a shelter.

The Israeli occupation soldiers, however, brutally attacked and detained a Palestinian journalist while he was covering the bulldozing works carried out by the forces in the Al-Atrash village.

The forces also attacked the Palestinian residents who tried to prevent them from bulldozing their lands, detaining one of them.

There are almost 100,000 Palestinians live in 35 Bedouin villages in the Negev and are unrecognized by the Israeli occupation government who views the Bedouin residents of these villages as illegal squatters and does not provide them with basic services or infrastructure, including electricity, water, sewage systems, roads, schools or hospitals.
The Israeli occupation government considers those Palestinian villages “unrecognised,” and therefore they are under threat of demolition.
