Palestinian youth killed by Israeli soldier near Ramallah

Ramallah (QNN)- A Palestinian youth was reportedly shot and killed on Thursday evening by a plainclothes Israeli occupation officer, near Beit Sera military checkpoint, southwest of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah.

Israeli occupation media claimed that an off-duty Israeli officer shot and killed the Palestinian man, identified as 23-year-old Mohamed Abu Juma’a, a resident of Al-Tur neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, for allegedly carrying out a stabbing operation that targeted colonial Israeli settlers, last night, near the illegal settlement of “Modiin.”

The young man’s body was also taken away by the Israeli occupation soldiers.

A one-day general strike is observed today in the Al-Tur neighborhood to mourn his death.

Local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces raided the neighborhood of Al-Tur, at dawn today, and broke into the house of the slain youth.

The alleged operation comes amid ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinians and their holy sites, including Israel’s aggressive raids of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem and killing of Palestinians, as since the start of the year, Israeli occupation soldiers killed at least 149 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, occupied Jerusalem and the besieged Gaza Strip.
