Palestinian worker shot dead by Israeli forces in Ashkelon
Ashkelon (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces shot and killed a Palestinian worker at a construction site in Ashkelon city in the 1948-occupied Palestine, earlier on Tuesday.
Israeli media reported that a police officer was on a patrol searching for Palestinians working in ‘Israel’ without work permits in construction sites in the area.
However, the police officer opened fire at the 40-year-old worker, claiming the worker refused to show his identity and work permit, killing him on the spot.
The worker has been identified later as Abdullah Srour, a resident of the city of Hebron, south of the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli Occupation Forces also alleged that the worker stabbed the officer and injured him in the hand when he refused to show his identity and work permit.
It is worth mentioning that this is the fifth Palestinian to be shot dead by Israeli forces in the last 24 hours.
Earlier on Sunday, the Israeli forces shot dead a Palestinian woman, identified as 47-year-old Ghada Ibrahim Sabatien who is a widowed mother of six, in the town of Husan, west of Bethlehem.
Later that day, the forces shot and killed another Palestinian woman, identified as 24-year-old Maha Kazem Awad, for allegedly carrying out a stabbing operation near the al-Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron.
On Sunday night, the Israeli forces fatally shot and killed a Palestinian youth, identified as 21-year-old Mohammad Ali Ghoneim, during a military raid in the town of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem.
Another Palestinian teenager, identified as 17-year-old Mohammad Zakarneh, has also succumbed earlier on Monday to his injuries that he sustained by Israeli gunfire in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin yesterday.
