Palestinian succumbs to wounds sustained two years ago by Israeli gunfire

Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- A Palestinian man succumbed on Thursday night to wounds that he sustained about two years ago after being shot by Israeli forces with live bullets inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

Local sources reported that 30-year-old Palestinian Hamza Abu Sneineh was shot and seriously injured by Israeli gunfire when large numbers of Israeli occupation forces broke into the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque while thousands of worshipers were attending the Taraweeh prayers during the holy month of Ramadan on May 7, 2021.

The man was shot with a rubber-coated metal bullet by Israeli forces, which resulted in multiple fractures in his skull and the loss of his left eye.

He was moved for treatment to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, before he was arrested by Israeli occupation forces a few days later despite his serious health condition before he was later released.

Abu Sneineh is a resident of Jerusalem’s old City. He is married and has two daughters.
