Palestinian resistance launches a volley of rockets at Israeli settlements
Gaza (Quds News Network) – In response to the ongoing Israeli genocide campaign in Gaza, the Palestinian resistance forces launched a significant barrage of rockets on Tuesday morning towards colonial Israeli settlements located east of the Gaza Strip.
Alarm sirens blared across the targeted settlements, accompanied by intense efforts from the Iron Dome defense system to intercept the incoming rockets amidst thunderous explosions.
One of the rockets directly hit a building in the Netivot settlement, east of the Gaza Strip, causing substantial damage. It remains unclear whether there were casualties among the Israeli settlers as a result of the attack.
The Hebrew Channel 11 reported that approximately 50 rockets were launched from Gaza in what is considered the largest barrage in weeks.
The Israeli Minister of War, Yoav Gallant, announced yesterday evening that ground operations in northern Gaza had almost concluded. However, hours after his statement, a rocket barrage was launched towards Ashdod and several settlements to the north of the Strip.
Since the morning hours of today, the northern regions of the Gaza Strip have witnessed intensive Israeli artillery shelling and aerial bombardment targeting Palestinian homes and shelter facilities.
The toll of the ongoing aggression on Gaza has now surpassed 24,000 victims, with the number of wounded approaching 61,000, sustaining various injuries. Additionally, 70% of buildings and infrastructure in the region have been destroyed.
In contrast, the officially declared death toll of the Israeli occupation forces since the outbreak of the war in October stands at 523, including 193 fatalities reported since the commencement of the ground operation on the 27th of the same month.
