Palestinian prisoner released after completing 35 years in Israeli jails
Ramallah (QNN)- Israeli occupation authorities have released today a Palestinian prisoner after completing 35 years behind Israeli prison bars, according to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS).

Rushdi Abu Mukh, 58 years old from the Arab town of Baqaa al-Gharbieh in the Green Line, was detained in 1986 along with three others from the same town.
He was first sentenced to life in prison, and later his prison term was set to 35 years.
He was supposed to be released last month, but the Israeli occupation authorities kept him in prison for 12 extra days claiming he had an unpaid traffic fine since before his arrest 35 years ago.
There are 12 prisoners from Arab towns in the Green line behind bars and considered among the longest-serving prisoners in Israeli prisons.
Palestinian prisoners’ advocacy groups said there are 26 Palestinian prisoners before Oslo.
The number of Palestinian prisoners serving a sentence above 20 years is 497, while the number of prisoners serving life a sentence is 543.
There are 33 Palestinian prisoners serving more than 25 years of sentence, and 57 serving more than 20 years of sentence.
4500 Palestinians have been imprisoned in Israeli jails, among them 40 women, 170 children and 45 held in administrative detention.
