Palestinian man shot dead by Israeli soldiers in occupied West Bank

Occupied West Bank (QNN)- Israeli occupation soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian man for allegedly trying to carry out a car-ramming operation against soldiers patrolling near the city of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank on Saturday evening.

Local sources reported that 36-year-old Palestinian Mohammad Abu Kafia was driving at a section of Route 60, near the illegal settlement outpost of Havat Gilad, when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into an Israeli police vehicle, yesterday.

However, instead of treating him, Israeli occupation police officers, who were present at the scene, shot and killed him, claiming he tried to carry out a ramming operation, according to Israeli media reports.

Family members said that Mohammad, a teacher, father of three children and a resident of Beit Ijza village, was on his way to Nablus to deliver equipment to the store he owns.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said it “strongly condemns” the shooting death of Mohammad Abu Kafia, adding that he was “deliberately shot to death after his vehicle collided with an Israeli police vehicle as a result of a normal traffic accident.”

“This is another crime to join the series of crimes Israel commits against the Palestinian people, and the daily killings backed by Israel’s political echelon,” the statement said.

Since the start of the year, Israeli occupation soldiers have killed at least 150 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, occupied Jerusalem and the besieged Gaza Strip, according to the Health Ministry.
