Palestinian man may lose eye after being shot by Israeli occupation police

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- 32-year-old Palestinian Ahmed Diab might lose his right eye after being shot by Israeli occupation police in the occupied city of Tamra inside the Green Line on Tuesday night.

Diab was injured as the Israeli police violently dispersed a protest against its inaction and complicity in increasing the crime wave among the Palestinian communities in the occupied Palestinian territories, after it killed two young Palestinian men in Tamra city.

Nasser Diab told QNN that his brother Ahmed was rushed to Rambam hospital to receive the necessary treatment.

Nasser said the impact of the shooting was so severe that Ahmed may have lost his eye.

He added that Ahmed is going to surgery to see the extent of the damage caused by the shooting.

On Tuesday, thousand of mourners took part in the funeral of Ahmed Hejazi, a 22-year-old Palestinian nursing student who was shot dead in cold blood as Israeli occupation police opened fire with assault rifles in a residential area in Tamra city, during a shootout between the Israeli police and unknown gunmen.

A one-day strike on Tuesday was announced as well as three days of mourning.

In 2020, 96 Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied palestine were killed, by far the highest annual toll in recent memory.
